BUSINESS CLEAN UP

Business Clean Up is designed for Australian businesses as a great opportunity to help improve the quality of the environment and work towards reducing waste - as well as being a great team building exercise.

The next Business Clean Up Day event will be held on 24th of February 2009.

Participation shows how you can:

  • Demonstrate your responsibility to the environment and local community
  • Involve your staff in a rewarding team building exercise with a difference
  • Build relationships with suppliers and clients by inviting them to join you
  • Gain potential positive media coverage

Businesses can participate either by registering a site or by becoming a Clean Up Australia Day Business Supporter, for more information visit the Business Supporter page

REGISTER A SITE

It's as easy as cleaning up or rehabilitating a local street, park, bushland or waterway.

Step 1              Select a site in your local area

Step 2              Register your site with Clean Up Australia.  A registration fee of $110 (gst inclusive) applies to cover the cost of you Business Clean Up Kit.

Step 3              Organise rubbish collection. Make arrangements through your waste contractor or liaise with the local council regarding possible collection

Step 4              Promote your event to staff and make the logistical arrangements for the day

Step 5              Hold your clean up event

Step 6              Report back to Clean Up Australia on your activities

Your Business Clean Up Kit will include a copy of True Green @ Work, 30 Clean Up bags, 6 pairs of gloves; 1 sharps container,24 power saving reminder stickers, 1 mobile phone recycling satchel, Site Guide, Promotional Posters and other material to assist you with coordinating your event.

Taking environmental action is not only socially responsible but it also makes business sense. So put your hand up and get involved - after all, if you don't help Clean Up Australia, who will?
